Cab aggregators have committed to rolling out shared taxi services and introducing women-driven taxi services within a month, contingent on necessary regulatory amendments. The Chief Minister emphasized that effective pollution control and promotion of sustainable transport are key objectives, and the government is prepared to provide land for EV charging stations, with a focus on solar energy integration and scientific battery waste disposal.
The initiative aims to reduce the number of vehicles on Delhi's roads and accelerate the transition towards green mobility. Companies were also urged to explore integrating e-rickshaws into their platforms and consider operating shuttle services on the Ring Road and to and from the airport.
