Mechanic Tip: Replace the complete assembly — pump motor, sender unit, and strainer — not just the motor. Leaving the old strainer will clog the new motor quickly on high-mileage commuter bikes.

Tank Access: Fuel pump is inside the tank. Drain fully and remove before starting. Refer to the Hero HF Deluxe BS6 service manual for correct procedure.
i3S Variant: The idle stop-start system operates via the ECU and starter motor — entirely separate from the fuel pump circuit. Pump is identical on i3S and standard variants.
HF 100 / CD Deluxe: HF 100 (Dec 2021) and CD Deluxe BS6 share the same platform and fuel tank. Same OEM pump (16700-AAF-400) confirmed across all three nameplates.
OBD2B Models (2023+): OBD Phase 2B affects engine management software only — not the physical pump. Fits all OBD2B variants identically.
